Building Pathways to Financial Stability

At United Way of Naugatuck & Beacon Falls, we believe that a strong community starts with financially stable families. By helping people gain the tools, skills, and opportunities they need to achieve self-sufficiency, we create a foundation for long-term success and economic growth.

Through job training, financial literacy programs, and support services, we empower local residents to secure employment, manage their finances confidently, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Our commitment includes:

  • Under and Unemployed Youth and Adults Outcome: Expanding opportunities for under-employed and unemployed individuals, including those who do not speak English, to access entry-level employment that can lead to self-sufficiency.
  • Promoting Financial Literacy: Offering resources and education that help residents make informed decisions, budget effectively, and work toward financial goals.

Thanks to collaborative partnerships and the generosity of donors and volunteers, we’re turning these goals into realities, strengthening families and the community as a whole.

Partner Agencies Advancing Financial Stability

Our partnerships with local organizations extend critical resources to individuals working to improve their financial situations. Together, we provide adult literacy, tax assistance, and other essential supports that help residents move toward greater economic security.

Some of the organizations helping us advance financial stability include:

  • Literacy Volunteers: Adult literacy programs that build essential skills for employment and daily life.
  • Advancing Connecticut Together: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to help residents maximize their tax returns and strengthen household budgets.

Together, we’re opening doors to new opportunities and creating a community where everyone can thrive.
